For five years, Tara Cuthbert and Stuart Solzberg have been sponsoring a traveling variety show/conceptual project known as Bushwick Farms, which focuses on the trials, travails and adventures of the fictional Bushwick Farms company. From a 1979 Ford pick-up and 1968 trailer, the couple travels throughout the U.S., incorporating slide shows and video projections into their tent and performance venues. The artists create the various performers and use symbolic props, costumes and landscapes to make these fictional characters and their stories seem “real.” Cuthbert received a BFA from Southern Cross University, Australia, and Stuart earned his BFA from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY.
