Born in Plattsmouth, NE, printmaker Carol Meis Ellington studied commercial art at Omaha Art School and Studios and earned a BFA in Printmaking from Bellevue University. She is particularly accomplished in creating woodcuts and etchings, and she frequently uses river imagery as a symbol of salvation. A veteran of numerous solo and group shows throughout the United States, the artist is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, and her work is included in both public and private collections.
