Dan Boylan

Dan Boylan's exploration of painting takes him through worlds of nature – from the Midwestern landscape and the city to the human figure itself. He has also turned to a wide host of other subjects, including the poetry of Blake and Milton, Roman Catholicism, the Irish poets and writers, family members, time spent in San Francisco, South America and “60's music, alcohol and Billy Holiday.” The Nebraska-born painter has had one-man shows at venues such as the Joslyn Museum, the Haydon Gallery and the Creighton Lied Art Gallery. His work is included in private and corporate collections, which include those of Senator Ben Nelson and Con Agra. He is represented by fine art dealer Vivian Kiechel.
