Gary Day, Director of the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s Print Workshop, draws on traditional and modern technologies to create multi-media work. His areas of concentration include printmaking, computer graphics, 3D modeling, animation and immersive technologies. Day has exhibited at Siggraph (Los Angeles) and 5th Digital Salon (New York), and his work is included in the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery’s permanent collection. In 2006, his work was featured in the Bemis Center’s exhibition in SIGNAL CHANNEL. That year, he was also a visiting artisrt at the American Academy in Rome. This past year, Day collaborated with Anna Monardo to create the sculpture “Best Moments in Omaha” for the O! Project, sponsored by the Bemis Center, Alegent Health and the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce.
