Helen Brough is a British painter, drawer, sculptor and installation artist. She attended the Chelsea School of Art in London, achieving a BA Honors First Class and an MA in sculpture. In England, Brough’s awards include the Prix de Rome prize at the British School in Rome, the Prince Charles Travel Scholarship and Soros Foundation funding for exhibitions in Romania and Hungary. In the United States, she has received funding from the Pollock/Krasner Foundation and the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts. The artist presently lives and works in New York City. In 2006, she had a one-woman show, Cataclysmic Hypotheses, at the Bemis Center. In August 2007, she was profiled on the front page of The Financial Times’ weekend arts section well as featured in NY Arts Magazine.
