Nationally recognized sculptor Les Bruning received his first sculpture commission in 1969 at the County-City Building, Lincoln, NE, and since then he has completed over thirty more. The artist studied at the Graz Center in Austria and graduated with BA in Art from Nebraska Wesleyan University and an MFA in Sculpture from Syracuse University. He is currently Chair of the Art Department of Bellevue University in Bellevue NE and a founding member of Omaha’s Hot Shops Art Center, which also houses Bruning Sculpture, Inc., a casting and fabrication studio that produces architectural detail and other artists’ work.
