Inspired by the High Renaissance, Marc Dennis uses the methods of the Old Masters to create fluid, richly colored, compelling images that explore issues such as what separates good from evil and what constitutes power. The artist earned his BFA from the Tyler School of Art, Temple University and an MFA from the University of Texas at Austin. He has exhibited his work in solo and group shows at venues such as the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institution of American Art (Washington, DC), Dumbo Arts Center (Brooklyn, NY) and the Cleveland Museum of Art (OH). His work has been reviewed in publications such as Art Papers, the New York Post, the New York Times and the Boston Globe. The artist teaches at Elmira College, NY.
