Thomas Bevan creates work that brings together varied forms, and he uses shapes to symbolize different cultures. In this way, he blends disparate cultural structures together to discover what emerges. The artist has been a resident at numerous programs throughout the world, and he has exhibited widely at venues such as MOMA’s PS1 (New York), the Vasby Kosnthall (Stockholm, Sweden) and the Hanoi Contemporary Art Center (Hanoi, Viet Nam). He is also the recipient of several awards, including a Pollock-Krasner Grant.
