Sunny Gibbons’s paintings frequently address her experiences and personal growth as well as the people and places that have played apart in her continuing story. She uses color, line, brushstroke and texture to explore emotion and mental states and heightens that experience by using recognizable imagery. Gibbons has had several group and solo shows at venues such as Darkroom Gallery, Modern Arts Midwest and Gallery 9. She received her BFA from the Parsons School of Design and currently lives and works in Lincoln, NE.
