Amy Nelson’s work is concept driven, and she manifests this through her installations, community involvement and through the use of artistic process as a force for political change. She earned her BFA from Creighton University in Omaha and an MFA in Studio Art from East Carolina University, Greenville, NC. Nelson has received several grants, including an Artist Grant from the Vermont Studio Center, and she has exhibited across the US. Nelson is an assistant professor at University of Nebraska at Creighton University.
