Christine LoFaso explores issues of identity and power within the framework of post-modern culture. She conveys ideas of the body in all its guises – social, political, sexual, psychological and spiritual. LoFaso received her MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago and is an associate professor at the School of Art at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. She has shown her work in both solo and group exhibitions, including at venues such as the Chicago Cultural Center, the University of Hawaii at Manoa and the Asheville Art Museum. The Bemis Center featured LoFaso’s one-person show Restless: Large-Format Digital Stills in spring 2005.
