Endi Poskovic’s colorful woodcut prints make dynamic statements about his personal experiences. Iconic images combine with provocative text to produce richly textured works. The artist earned his BFA from the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and an MFA from the State University of New York, Buffalo. Poskovic has exhibited extensively in virtually all national and international print shows at venues such as the Centre National des Arts Plastiques (Cairo, Egypt), the International Print Center (NY, NY), the Horst Jansen Stadtmuseum (Oldenburg, Germany) and the Rotermann Arts Center (Tallinn, Estonia.) His work is in numerous public and private collections worldwide, including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Berlin Kupferstich-Kabinet (Germany) and the Fogg Art Museum (Harvard University). Poskovic is an associate professor of art and the director of the print media program at Whittier College in California. The Bemis Center presented his solo exhibition Endi Poskovic:They Are All Indispensible this year.
