Born 1963 in San Diego, Eric Nation earned a BA in Environmental Design and an MA in Fine Art / Furniture from San Diego State University. He has pursued design and residential architecture as a designer and furniture maker since 1987. As a professor, Nation also taught furniture design at Mesa College in San Diego and at California College of the Arts in Oakland, CA. He has exhibited at galleries nationwide, and in 1993 he received a National Endowment of the Arts Fellowship for his work in fine furniture. Nation built a home and studio in Omaha, Nebraska, and lives and works in San Diego, CA.
