Joey Lynch brings his own uniquely irreverent style to his vibrant and often provocative screen-printings, which he creates on both paper and canvas. Originally from South Dakota, Lynch now lives and works in Omaha, NE, where he co-founded Tugboat Presents…, a non-commission gallery that exhibits high-quality, cutting-edge artwork, an offshoot of the Lincoln-based sister space, Tugboat Gallery, which he co-founded with fellow artists Peggy Gomez and Jake Gillespie. This year Lynch also created the live visual projections for Conor Oberst and Bright Eyes’ spring tour of their new Saddle Creek Records release “Cassadaga.” He also created the sculpture “They Were Sacred to Astarte” for the O! Project, sponsored by the Bemis Center, Alegent Health and the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce.
