Through her videos, drawings and performances, Sarah Klein explores the contrast between the domestic and the public world as well as the conducts and codes that define these two realms. She uses hand-drawn images and stop-motion animation to create humorous and often dark narratives on domestic life and related themes. The art received both her BA and MFA from Mills College in Oakland, CA. She has screened and broadcast her work widely and has received numerous awards and honors, including a Chez Panisse Foundation Project Grant.
