Photographer and multi-media artist Shawnequa Linder is primarily interested in exploring the interplay of urban decay, texture, color and the unlikely elements that are meshed together. She paints with my fingers, because this technique allows forms and phenomena to develop into an organic abstraction of decay. Her photographs also play a part of her fascination by the variety of beauty, layers, time and matter found within the inner city. Linder has worked as a photographer at the Omaha World Herald and earned her BA in Photography and Painting at Bellevue University.
