Sora Kimberlain’s works strike a depth of human emotion that is immediate to the viewer. Figurative works on paper and in sculpture follow her earlier work as an experimental theater artist. Kimberlain has exhibited her work widely, and she has received numerous awards and honors, including a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The artist’s work is included in public and private collections, with the archives of her work as an experimental theater designer, writer and performer housed in the Special Collections of Bancroft Library at the University of California at Berkeley.
