Thomas Majeski received his BFA in 1960 from the University of Nebraska, Omaha and his MFA in 1963 from the University of Iowa. He was a member of the Art and Art History faculty at the University of Nebraska at Omaha for over thirty-five years, and he served as a Regents Professor and Chairman of the Department for nine years. Majeski has been a Professor Emeritus of Art and Art History since 1999. He has also been actively involved in guest residencies and lectures internationally. His works are included in the collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Museum Voor Schone Kunsten (Antwerp, Belgium), the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Art (Guangzhou, China) and numerous other museums and universities across the United States.
