Inspired by film, psychology, architecture and pop culture, Andrea Stanislav practices a multimedia approach to art-making. Her installations combine formalism, concept and interactivity to create an experiential environment that explores worlds we can see – and worlds we cannot see – but know intuitively are real. Stanislav earned her BFA in Studio Art from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and MFA in Sculpture from Alfred University. The artist currently maintains residences in Minneapolis and New York City. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Art (tenure track) at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
