Christian Rothmann

Christian Rothmann has traveled to countries and continents around the globe to make artwork that involves several media, including painting, installation and photography. His abstract works serve as vibrantly bright compositions of color and form. Noted German filmmaker Wim Wenders had said of the artist: “Christian Rothmann is an etymologist of the language of painting.” The artist studied at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin, Germany and received numerous international awards and honors. He has also exhibited widely in group and solo shows at venues such as the Museum der Stadt Langen (Langen, Germany) Za Moca Foundation (Tokyo, Japan), the Center of Contemporary Art (Larissa, Greece) and the Light Factory (Charlotte, NC).
