R. Justin Stewart incorporates various materials to create complex and often whimsical mixed-media work. In 2005, Stewart was chosen from a national search as one of five sculptors for the Bemis Center’s award-winning Art 4 Omaha Project 1, the Artist-in-Industry Steel Collaboration Project. For this project, he created the large-scale steel sculpture Blue Cube, currently on view on the exterior grounds of Qwest Center Omaha. The artist additionally has had numerous solo and group exhibitions, and his work is included in public, private and corporate art collections. Stewart received his BFA in Ceramics from the Kansas City Art Institute in Kansas City, MO.
