David Williams is a self-taught abstract artist whose minimal compositions reduce elements to their lowest common denominators. Critics have described his primitive obelisk and monolith as totemic and oddly spiritual. Represented by several galleries in Omaha, Williams’ first solo show ran this past summer at Room, and he also created two pieces for Omaha's 2005 Benchmarks public art project. The artist is also a senior writer and theater critic for The Omaha City Weekly.
